Zell am See
The mountain town of Zell am See is one of Austria´s most traditional holiday destinations with international flair, casino and high life. The Schmittenhöhe (2,000m), Zell am See´s local mountain, looks back at almost 100 years of ski tradition and is the perfect ski resort for families and sun worshippers, boasting a spectacular mountain panorama between glaciers and Lake Zell. There is a reason why it is called "Austria´s most beautiful panoramic mountain" from where you can admire 30 three thousend meters high mountains of the Hohe Tauern, including Austria´s higest mountain - the Grossglockner (3,950 m), in summer as well as in winter. The Schmittenhöhe offers absolute snow-reliability on 77 fully snow-covered piste kilometers, which can be accessed by 28 cable cars and lifts. Many winter sports possibilities for non-skiers complement a winter holiday in Zell am See. The Kitzsteinhorn Glacier ski resort and the high-situated Weißsee Glacier Worldski resort are nearby.
Saalbach Hinterglemm - Leogang - Fieberbrunn
The ski resort of the World Cup destination Saalbach has been known as one of the most interesting and biggest in the entire Alps for many years. Even the most ambitious skiers will enjoy their winter dream here! The recent merger with Fieberbrunn created the "Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn" with now 270 km of pistes, 70 lifts and 60 ski huts. 90% of the pistes are covered with artificial snow. Highlight for skiers: The all-day circular route through the Skicircus - with 72 piste kilometers and 12,500 altritude meters, one of the biggest of its kind in the entire Alps! But the Skicircus is also known for its excellent ski huts for every taste "from quaint to gourmet".
Glacier ski resort Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun
The Kitzsteinhorn Glacier ski resort offers snow-reliability from October to May as well as variety on 41 piste kilometres, an off-piste paradise for freeriders, snow parks, a lot of alpine huts and the "Top of Salzburg" viewing platform with stunning views and the highest-situated restaurant in Salzburg in 3,029 m above sea level.
At the Kitzsteinhorn, there is suitable terrain for all levels of ability and deep-snow riders are training for their off-piste tours on Freeride Monday (every Monday).
New: From 30th of November 2019, the K-onnection, an ultra-modern tri-cable gondola, the 3K Kaprun-Kitzsteinhorn-K‑onnection, will link the Maiskogel with the Kitzsteinhorn.
