Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card

From summer 2027, guests at the GRAND HOTEL ZELL AM SEE can look forward to even more holiday experiences: our hotel will become an official partner of the Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card. The card will therefore be included in the price of your stay with us.

The Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card combines numerous attractions and excursion destinations throughout the region. Mountain lifts, boat trips, natural attractions, lidos and family-friendly activities make it the ideal companion for your summer holiday in Zell am See.

From our private peninsula on Lake Zell, you can set off on a varied holiday between lake, mountains and glacier.
 

The Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card explained

The Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card is available exclusively to guests staying at participating partner accommodation and cannot be purchased separately. As a guest of the GRAND HOTEL ZELL AM SEE, you will automatically receive the card for the duration of your stay from summer 2027.

The Summer Card is valid between 15 May and 31 October and includes numerous experiences as well as attractive discounts from selected bonus partners.

Whether you would like to take a mountain lift into the Alpine landscape, enjoy a boat trip on Lake Zell or visit one of the many attractions around Zell am See and Kaprun, the Summer Card makes it easy to discover the diverse highlights of the region.
 

Up to the Schmittenhöhe

The Schmittenhöhe is Zell am See’s local mountain and a popular destination for hikers, families and anyone who simply wants to enjoy the impressive mountain panorama.

Selected mountain lift rides on the Schmittenhöhe are included with the Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card. Once at the top, you can look forward to varied hiking trails, family-friendly experiences and magnificent views of Lake Zell and the surrounding three-thousand-metre peaks.

From the GRAND HOTEL ZELL AM SEE, the valley stations are within easy reach. After your day in the mountains, you can return to the tranquillity of our private peninsula.
 

A glacier experience on the Kitzsteinhorn

The Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun is another highlight included with the Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card. The journey into the high-Alpine landscape offers spectacular views and takes you into the fascinating scenery of the Hohe Tauern National Park.

Panoramic viewing platforms, informative exhibitions and the unique atmosphere of the glacier make the Kitzsteinhorn a rewarding excursion for adults and families. Please note that the 3K K-onnection is not included with the Summer Card.
 

The Maiskogel family mountain

The Maiskogel in Kaprun offers a variety of experiences for the whole family. Gentle hiking trails, play areas and family-friendly attractions make it an ideal destination for a relaxing day in the mountains.

Selected rides on the Maiskogel mountain lifts are also included with the Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card. Families can therefore reach the mountain comfortably and plan their day according to their own interests.
 

Boat trips on Lake Zell

What would a summer holiday on Lake Zell be without a boat trip? A panoramic cruise aboard the MS Schmittenhöhe is also included with the Summer Card.

From the water, you can admire Zell am See, the Schmittenhöhe and the surrounding mountains from an entirely new perspective. On the return journey, you will also enjoy a particularly impressive view of the private peninsula and the GRAND HOTEL ZELL AM SEE.
 

Swimming and relaxing by the lake

On warm summer days, the lidos around Lake Zell provide a refreshing place to cool down. Admission to the lidos in Zell am See town centre, Schüttdorf and Thumersbach is included with the Summer Card.

As a guest of the GRAND HOTEL ZELL AM SEE, you can also enjoy direct access to Lake Zell and our private lakeside lawn. Relax on a sun lounger, swim in the lake or hire a pedal boat or stand-up paddleboard directly from the hotel.

Admission to the indoor swimming pool in Zell am See is also included, providing an enjoyable alternative whatever the weather.
 

Natural attractions around Zell am See-Kaprun

The region has much more to offer than mountains and lake views. With the Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card, you can discover some of the most impressive natural attractions in SalzburgerLand.

Included excursion destinations include the spectacular Kaprun High Mountain Reservoirs and the Sigmund Thun Gorge. Other gorges, museums, mines and family-friendly attractions also invite you to explore the region.

How to receive your Summer Card

As a guest of the GRAND HOTEL ZELL AM SEE, you will receive your Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card at check-in. You can use either a printed card or the digital version available through the Zell am See-Kaprun App.

The digital Summer Card is stored conveniently in your personal wallet within the app. The app also provides useful information about operating mountain lifts, attractions, events and routes throughout the region.

The card is personal and valid for the duration of your stay.
 

Good to know

Special conditions apply on the day of arrival during the peak summer season. Between 15 July and 15 September, the Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card is valid from 3:00 pm on the day of arrival. During this period, certain popular attractions can only be used from the second day of your stay. These include selected summit rides on the Schmittenhöhe and Kitzsteinhorn, the panoramic cruise on Lake Zell and the Kaprun High Mountain Reservoirs.

Outside this period, current regulations allow the Summer Card to be used throughout the day of arrival. As included services, operating times and conditions may change, you can obtain the latest information from our reception team or on the official Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card website.

From summer 2027, the Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card will make your stay at the GRAND HOTEL ZELL AM SEE even more varied. It combines relaxing holiday moments at our hotel on Lake Zell with memorable experiences around the Schmittenhöhe, Maiskogel and Kitzsteinhorn.

Begin your day with breakfast on the lakeside terrace before heading into the mountains or visiting one of the region’s many attractions. In the afternoon, return to our private peninsula and unwind beside the lake. A soothing SPA treatment, dinner on the lakeside terrace and a cocktail at the Seebar provide the perfect end to the day.
