Arrival Information Zell am See:
Please note that access to the Grand Hotel Zell am See is only possible via Zell am See train station. Two access control systems are in place:

1. Barrier system
From 15 June to 15 September, the barrier is closed daily from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
From 16 September to 14 June, the barrier is closed daily from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
If you provide us with your license plate number in advance, the barrier will automatically recognize your vehicle and open upon your arrival.
If your license plate has not been registered, please press the “Grand Hotel” button at the barrier. Our team will then open it for you manually.

2. Bollard system
When turning right from Salzmannstreet into Seegasse, you will reach our bollard. Here as well, you can press the “Grand Hotel” button to be connected with our team, who will lower the bollard for you.
We recommend providing us with your license plate number prior to your arrival to ensure smooth and quick access to the hotel.
From Germany you travel toll-free via the Munich–Salzburg motorway, exiting at Siegsdorf. From there, continue through Inzell, Steinpass, Lofer, and Saalfelden to Zell am See.
From Switzerland take the Inntal motorway and exit at Wörgl. Then follow the route via Kitzbühel and Mittersill, or alternatively via Kitzbühel – St. Johann – Saalfelden to Zell am See.
From Italy & Slovenia take the Tauern motorway (A1) towards Salzburg, exit at Bischofshofen, and continue on the B311 federal road to Zell am See (approx. 45 km from the motorway exit).
From Vienna take the A1 motorway to Salzburg, then either travel via the small German corner or take the A10 Tauern motorway to the Bischofshofen exit, continuing on the B311 to Zell am See.

Please note: In Austria, motorway toll stickers ("Vignette") are mandatory.

Arrive by Bus & Train at the GRAND HOTEL on Lake Zell

Travel comfortably by train to Zell am See station. With prior arrangement, our hotel shuttle will collect you and take you to GRAND HOTEL ZELL AM SEE free of charge.

With the Guest Mobility Ticket, you can use buses and trains within the state of Salzburg at no additional fare from the day of your arrival. We will be happy to email your ticket to you on your arrival day. To arrange this, please send us the full name, address and date of birth of each arriving guest in advance.

Your Ticket for Bus & Train Travel in SalzburgerLand

As an overnight guest at GRAND HOTEL ZELL AM SEE, you receive the Guest Mobility Ticket for your entire stay, including your arrival and departure days. If you have not requested it in advance, you will receive your ticket at check-in.

The ticket covers public transport throughout the state of Salzburg, including city and regional buses, S-Bahn services, regional trains and long-distance trains. Explore the region comfortably by bus and train and enjoy your holiday without having to find parking.

A mobility levy of €0.50 per person per night applies to guests aged 15 and over.
