Kitzsteinhorn Glacier – the pistes

The Kitzsteinhorn Glacier ski resort offers snow-reliability from October to May as well as variety on 41 piste kilometres, an off-piste paradise for freeriders, snow parks, the "Top of Salzburg" viewing platform with stunning views and the highest-situated restaurant in Salzburg in 3,029 m above sea level.

Black Mamba:

The Black Mamba is known as the ultimate challenge at the Kitzsteinhorn. The narrow Piste No. 14 with an incline of 63% is by far the steepest piste in the glacier ski resort. Mastering the Black Mamba on your next holiday in the Zell am See – Kaprun region is a must for anyone who loves challenges.

Start is near the lower terminus of the Kristallbahn. The piste is 1000 m long and has a maximal incline of 63%. You also accomplish 290 altitude metres on this downhill run.

Eagel Line:

The fun line with obstacles is suitable for beginners as well as the advanced. The fun piste can be accessed via several pistes. On a length of one kilometre, you experience several obstacles like waves, banked curves, hilltops and much more. Race at speed across the piste and experience the fun parcourse in the Kitzsteinhorn ski resort.

XXL Freeride:

Kaprun is an off-piste paradise for freeriders. Freeriding is a trend that has enjoyed growing popularity in recent years. Feel the freedom in open terrain and carve your tracks in powder snow away from groomed pistes. Due to its snow-reliable location, the glacier ski resort attracts freeriders already in early winter.

At the Kitzsteinhorn, there is suitable terrain for all levels of ability and deep-snow riders are training for their off-piste tours on Freeride Monday (every Monday).

The Kitzsteinhorn Glacier ski resort offers freeriders:
