Schmittenhöhe ski resort – the pistes

Zell’s local mountain, the Schmittenhöhe, awaits with snow-reliability, 77 kilometres of pistes with 5 downhill runs and the Trass downhill run. Beginners as well as advanced skiers, carvers and snowboarders appreciate the diversity of the ski resort. In addition, there is a  Skimovie track and an XXL fun slope. Apart from diverse downhill runs, there are possibilities for a stop with beautiful terraces and wonderful views. Trass downhill run:                                                                        

Steep slope with a high level of difficulty. The Trass is the longest black downhill run in Salzburger Land. With an incline of up to 70%, this downhill run is not for the unskilled. Enjoy the adrenaline kick on this black downhill run. 

Course of the run:  The track is 4,150 m long and the difference in altitude is 1,000 m. Start house at the Schmitten summit, Piste No. 1 in the area around the Elisabeth Chapel. When the thighs are burning, then you have reached the finish line and have arrived at the end of the downhill run at the Schmittenhöhe lower terminus.

The current record of 03:30:27 minutes was set in 2017 – can you top this?

Enter your ski pass number on www.skiline.cc. You will see immediately how many piste kilometres and altitude metres you have skied and all lift rides you have taken during a day of skiing. You can of course also retrieve the altitude metre diagram at an on-site terminal in the ski resort.

 

Skimovie track:

The Skimovie track can be found at the upper terminus of the Hochmaisbahn. Two cameras follow every single turn you take from start to finish on this giant slalom run. Your time is of course recorded and you can get the free of charge video on www.skiline.cc.

You can also hire a GoPro for filming from the Infocenter free of charge. To store the video, bring your own Micro SD memory card or purchase one at the Infocenter. 

Funslope XXL: 

The fun slope of the Schmittenhöhe is 1,300 m long, thus it is one of the longest in the world. The slope promises variety for beginners and the advanced with scrolls, tunnels, waves, banked curves and much more. Thanks to SpotOn-Video App, there is a personal action video of you at the end.
